Serving Orphans in Moshi, Tanzania

History

The Home started in August 2006, at Ester 'Mama' Kadeghe’s house.

With faith and real conviction that very soon there would be orphan children who would need her help, she made beds and bought mattresses with her own money.

She asked her son, Jonas Kadeghe, daughter in law Rebecca Kadeghe and a family friend from Sweden if they would stand with her in this new chapter in her life. They agreed.

A short time passed before she received a phone call from a village Pastor asking if she knew anywhere for two children to receive care and schooling as their parents had passed away; yes, she did! She welcomed the children in her home, clothed them, took them to hospital to have essential medicine and checkups, fed them and taught them about Jesus' love. Vincent and Siah are now thriving.

Shortly after, three more children arrived and so on until now we have thirteen children aged from 4 to 12.

The children are currently in a rented house opposite Mama Kadghe. As the number of the children grew Mama Kadeghe’s house was no longer suitable.

We thank God that each and every child in our care is HIV free and we thank Him for teaching us as we teach the children His ways.
